Sara Maoz

I’m sure you’re here because you feel as if no one could understand you and you are already tired of everything that you hear around you and you don’t exactly know who to believe – what is right and what is wrong, what works, and what is just bullshit. You want your own success already, you want to realize your dreams, to connect to yourself and to your body, to feel healthy, productive, balanced and happy.

Whoa! – I really know how this feels, all those feelings, the doubts, concerns, and that big wish that this change will come.

(I know it up close, from the personal journey I went through when I wanted to get pregnant and wasn’t successful…).

So very nice to meet you – my name is Sara and I’m a trained Sinologist. I started my affair with China and it’s wonders more than 23 years ago. I started my China studies at the The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and travelled to China to study for this and haven’t stopped learning since. I specialize in traditional Chinese medicine, philosophy, and Chinese culture.

From an early age I was drawn to Chinese philosophy and over the years have continued to explore, learn and ask questions and thus so many doors have opened for me that has encouraged me to delve into studying Traditional Chinese Medicine and deepen my knowledge more into Chinese gynecology (also due to my personal story), Chinese nutrition, gastrointestinal, Oncology (cancer diseases), pain, migraines, diabetes, and more fascinating and important aspects of China in general – especially, and in great detail, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM).

My experience:

A little about my background. I have over 15 years of extensive clinical experience in a very intensive practice, I have specialized in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Traditional Chinese Acupuncture. I’m also qualified in Tuina (which is Chinese physiotherapy for adults and children) and Traditional Chinese medicine (Chinese herbs) which are provided in various forms: powder, tincture, extracts, capsules, and in customizing specific herbs to suit every patient and their unique health issues and needs.

I’m a graduate of the Hebrew University of Jerusalem from the Department of East Asian Studies with specialization in China – studies of China and the Chinese language. I graduated with a prestige scholarship on behalf of the Chinese Embassy in Israel and the Foreign Ministry of Israel. I then traveled to Beijing to continue my studies of a Master’s degree (M.A.) in Chinese philosophy. In Beijing (capital of China) I continued my studies and completed them back in Israel at the Ridman College of Complementary Medicine as part of a four year course. I completed specialization in Chinese gynecology and Infertility for Pregnancy, Menopausal issues and Hormonal imbalances. I also specialized at the University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Chéngdū, Sichuan in China. I did internship at the Clinic of Professor Xie Fang Su (one of the senior doctors of the hospital in Chéngdū, Sichuan in China). I helped with translating for and assisting Professor Fang for three years at his clinics in Israel and in China. I also completed specialization in Chinese Oncology – cancer and serious illnesses related – at the Rabin Medical Center (Beilinson Hospital) with expertise in gastro issues, Chinese digestion and nutrition for weight loss, and for a healthy and balanced lifestyle. I did an internship and worked at Clalit Health Services in Tel Aviv.

I’m registered in the book of Traditional Chinese Medicine Association practitioners, registration number 14122.

I’ve developed a program to become pregnant quickly and naturally, and I’ve created an online personal program for fertility and pregnancy – the first very advanced program of its kind in the world called “Eight Beats for Healthy Pregnancy”.

I speak four languages: Hebrew, English, Chinese and Spanish, and was a tour guide exploring the depths of China for 19 years.

My pregnancy story:

My pregnancy story began when I was 34 years old while I was trying to conceive. Like many other women the fertility doctor I went to see recommended me to go for egg donation because of my high FSH levels but since I’ve already begun to treat other women with infertility issues, I realized I could balance my body, reduce my FSH levels and achieve a healthy pregnancy… and that’s exactly what I did.

Specializes in Chinese Gynaecology:

At the clinic we offer fertility treatments for men and women – sperm issues, sperm weakness, low sperm count, hormonal imbalance such as FSH, unexplained fertility, repeated miscarriage, endometriosis, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) and more. The treatment at the clinic focuses on calming the spirit and lowering ones stress levels from our busy lives but also stress which has been created during fertility treatments. The treatment is supportive and helps to strengthen the IVF fertility treatments, IUIs and other fertility treatments and problems which were created due to older age with poor sperm quality, menopause, menstrual and hormonal problems and more…

I developed a unique plan to conceive fast and natural pregnancy. The comprehensive program provides support and assistance to women in fertility treatments and those who want to get pregnant and are not able to and of course to those who just want to prepare themselves for a natural pregnancy.

Specializes in Chinese Oncology – cancer disease:

More recent studies indicate that the treatment approach which combines conventional treatment for cancer simultaneously with the support of complementary medicine improves the quality of life for cancer patients and in many cases also increases the likelihood of their recovery.

Combined therapy (conventional therapy and complementary therapy together) is suitable for all cancers, all phases of treatment, and all patients. The Chinese treatment for cancer is not a replacement for conventional treatment but it is designed to be a supportive treatment. It aims to help patients and families to cope better with the disease – the treatment is effective by reducing the severity of the side effects and improving the patients quality of life.

The aim of the Chinese supportive treatment is to support the effectiveness of chemotherapy treatment, improve the success rate of the treatment and to strengthen the patient to cope better with the side effects.

An important goal here is to prepare ones body for chemotherapy treatments, the side effects expected, and to strengthen the patient towards the future.

The supportive treatment is done by using acupuncture with sterile needles based on the stage of the disease and the protocols which were given. Chinese herbs are prescribed according to the specific cancer type and the specific medications the person was given. Based on that information the specific herbs are determined and when the patient is ready they will also receive unique nutrition counseling which is designed for each specific illness and for strengthening the body after treatment.

Specializes in gastrointestinal problems and Chinese diet:

For people who are overweight or underweight, have bulimia, anorexia, eating disorders, constipation, diarrhea, irritable bowel, heartburn and stomach bloated, Crohn’s disease, colitis, helicobacter pylori and other gastro problems.

The treatment is performed after extensive questioning and pulse diagnosis, hormonal profile examination, physician (GP) review, examination of the medical protocol, drugs which were administered, and medical history.

The treatment consists of acupuncture, Chinese herbs prescription, nutrition advice, menus and progress tracking, electrodes treatment, Tuina massage, moxibustion and cupping. All treatments are performed based on the patient needs and depends on the diagnosis.

The Chinese therapy addresses the big picture, it treats the person as a whole in a holistic way and therefore their other different issues and ailments will receive adequate care and attention in the clinic.

At Maoz Marpe Clinic:

I treat a wide range of diseases and their prevention. I put great importance on acupuncture combined with Chinese herbs and nutrition guidance with emphasis on construction of good habits and patterns that support a strong and balanced lifestyle.

I believe in one’s ability to maintain good health, cure illnesses, adopt a healthy lifestyle and get ones life under control be it physical or mental health. Each disease has a cure, the body is a wonderful machine with natural healing system that knows how to balance any imbalances – sometimes it needs help and support and I believe you have the ability to give it this.

I believe that you can heal your life and my goal is to help you, support you, and strengthen your ability to do so in the most professional way through Chinese medicine.
